Amortentia: What would yours smell like!?

For those of you who have forgotten, Amortentia is the most powerful Love potion in the world. It doesn’t create “real” love of course, only causes powerful obsession or infatuation. It is rumored to smell differently to people according to what attracts them. So what would yours smell like?

Hermione smells freshly mown grass (from the Burrow), New parchment (B’coz she likes homework) and Ron’s hair.

Harry smells his broomstick (He likes Quidditch), treacle tart and “something flowery that he smelled at the Burrow” (Ginny’s hair).

Ron’s Amortentia smells of his mother’s cooking, bacon and the perfume he gave Hermione in his fifth year.

Draco’s would probably smell of fresh apples 😉 and (Uhmm.. I was gonna add “floral smell” that reminds him of Hermione, but then not everyone ships Dramione. Y U NO SHIP DRAMIONE!?!?) How about Harry’s hair? Okay, sorry, sorry… You don’t ship Drarry either. Grrr..

Ginny would probably smell freshly fallen dew (Burrow and Hogwarts), Wood (Broomstick B’coz she loves Quidditch) and Musk which reminds her of Harry.

Lord Voldemort, I doubt whether he’ll be able to smell anything through that flat nose of his, but no; he doesn’t smell anything. He doesn’t love anything, though for a while I debated over whether he would smell Hogwarts, the only place he ever felt at home.

Severus Snape would smell Lilies (Obviously) other than that.. I can’t say.

Luna would smell Nargles, Butterbeer corks, Wrackspurts Etcetera.

Dobby would smell Socks (Yes, Socks *Ugh*) and maybe firewhiskey… from Winky? (Am I going a bit too far here with…?)

Petunia would smell candies (Dudley), Cologne (for Vernon), Lilies (though she’d never admit it) and also Harry’s hair (Hey, She loved Harry too).

And….

I would smell the Sea.. yeah, I’d smell sea breeze B’coz I love beaches and I love the sea, they make me feel cheerful.. and the smell of mud or soil after it rains. The smell is heavenly! And lastly, the smell of lemons. I love anything with a lemon-ish smell or taste in it.

But what would YOU smell!?!?!?!?!!?

Twi-Analysis!

A constructive analysis of all the Book Covers and Book Titles in the Twilight Saga for all those Die-hard Twilight Fans out there.

Twilight:

Book Title: The title ‘Twilight’ because its the end of one day. It is the safest time for Vampires to roam freely above the Earth.

Cover Title: The apple represents the ‘Forbidden Fruit’.

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, though shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:17

In the story of The Garden of Eden, in the Bible, the apple was a forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve eat it anyway, even though they know they are not supposed too. Similarly Edward and Bella’s love is forbidden too. However, they overlook this and decide to to be with each other, fully aware of its drastic and deadly consequences.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon:

Book Title: The Book was titled ‘New Moon’ as it was a dark phase in Bella’s life, the time when there was darkness in her life, just like the moon’s phase New Moon, when the moon is not visible, when there is darkness. This was the phase in Bella’s life, when Edward had left her and she was completely shattered.

Book Cover: The tulip, on the book’s cover, symbolises love. Red tulips represent true love whereas           white tulips represent forgiveness. The tulip on the book’s cover is both red and white which means it symbolises true love and forgiveness. The Red petals falling off, give the impression of a bleeding Bella who was broken after Edward left her. The white in the flower also shows the pale Bella, who was pretty much at that time, depressed.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse:

Book Title: In a solar eclipse the moon stands between the sun and the earth thereby blocking the sun’s light to the earth. In the book Edward is the moon. He overshadows Jacob, since Bella loves him more than she loves Jacob. There is a point in the novel when Bella refers to Jacob as her personal sun. Jacob says that he may be her sun, but he is helpless during an eclipse.

Book Cover: The Cover represents Bella torn between two people – Edward and Jacob. She is hanging on by merely a few threads. It also symbolises Bella breaking away from her human life.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn:

Book Title: This book represented the turning point in Bella and Edward’s life when everything was initially dark, but eventually brightened as they started a new life together. It was the start of a new day for them, for everyone.

Book Cover: The Book Cover shows a pawn, the weakest player on the board, and the queen, the strongest player on the board. These game pieces represent Bella’s progression after she becomes a vampire. She initially started off as the weakest player in the game, i.e. she was a vulnerable new-born Vampire like a pawn. However as the story progresses she establishes herself as the strongest player in the game, the Queen, when she overcomes her thirst for blood and when she uses her potential talent to enable her side to win.
