As a child, James Sirius had the habit of calling all men “Dad” because he would see their children calling them “Dad”. It was only after Ginny told him to call them “Uncle” that he stopped calling them “Dad”. But when Harry came home, James called him “Uncle” too at which Harry was outraged. “My child is calling me Uncle!” he babbled on till Ginny told him that she’d rather have James call him “Uncle” than have James calling everyone else “Dad”. That shut Harry up.

Ginny Weasley’s Amortentia smells like freshly fallen dew which is reminiscent of Hogwarts and The Burrow, Wood from her Broomstick and Musk which reminds her of Harry.

Ginny’s Patronus is a horse, which symbolises Power, Grace, Strength and Beauty which she has displayed on countless occasions.

She was the first girl to arrive in the Weasley family after generations. Since Molly and Arthur weren’t expecting a girl child, they hadn’t thought of a name for her.

Both Ginny and Harry were born under the sign of Leo which made them Faithful and loving

Ginny had a lot in Common with her Mother-in-law, Lily Potter.

Hermione Granger,

Hermione Granger’s Amortentia smells like freshly mown grass (from the Burrow), New Parchment because she liked to do her homework and Ron Weasley’s hair.

Hermione’s Patronus is an otter which symbolises female energy, helpfulness, faithfulness and joy. Coincidently, Ron’s patronus is a terrier, which is known to chase otters.

Hermione’s first crush was on Percy Weasley, though she’d never admit it. To her, Percy was a smart and intelligent boy, who had an answer to all her questions. Her first friend was Neville Longbottom, whom she had met on the Hogwarts Express. She was scared about whether she’d be accepted by the kids who came from wizarding backgrounds and then she met Neville, who didn’t fit in the crowd either.

  • She is also a godmother to Harry and Ginny’s son James Sirius Potter.
  • Hermione’s favourite book is Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. She reads it every Christmas.

Hermione was embarrassed as well as slightly elated at Ron’s bewildered look when she said, “Do you want to move a bit closer?”. She then hastily added, “To the Shrieking Shack?”

Luna Lovegood,

Luna harbored romantic feelings towards Neville since her third year, before he even knew she existed.

Luna did not get married till her father’s untimely death. She stayed with him and devoted her full attention to him till he died.

There are some within the Ministry who believe that Luna has a secret pop-star life under the name of Lady GaGa, but they can’t prove it.

Harry Potter Ship Fandoms

“Theres nothing wrong in taking a story ahead… Or adding to it.”

There are so many different HP ships created by the fans. A lot of people are strongly against the idea of fans writing fanfiction. Im not one of them. I think it adds to the beauty of the franchise and makes it so much more interesting. Possibilities. What could have happened. What might have happened. One should appreciate everyones perspective. Its not morally justifiable to impose your judgement on others. So, I decided to sum up all the fan-fiction pairings.

Disclaimer: No offense intended. Please do not take it to heart if I disagree with your ship.

Harmony: Harry and Hermione(Sometimes referred to as pumpkin pie). Harmony shippers support the ‘Harry and Hermione’ pairing. However many strongly believe that the relationship between Harry and his best friend Hermione was nothing more than friendship and that Hermione was more or less like a sister to Harry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hinny: Harry and Ginny or Orange Crush. Harry just had to end up with Ginny. She was too much like Lily and Harry too much like James for them to go separate ways. Also, Ginny had a crush on Harry since her first year. She was one person who loved him and stood by him no matter what. She was  heartbroken when she learnt that Harry fancied Cho in their fifth year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ronmione: Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. The Good Ship. Since the Yule ball, it was pretty evident that the two would come together. Ron may have taken to disliking her initially, but eventually he realized that he loved her. Both of them tried to conceal their feelings for each other in their fourth and sixth years, but in the end came to accept the fact that they were meant for each other.

Dramione: Draco and Hermione. Leather and Libraries. Personally, I love this ship. It is my OTP. There are too many reasons to ship it. We, Dramione shippers, believe that prejudices can be broken and destiny rewritten. Against the odds, Against all logic, Against the world. Dramione. Draco was not truly a bad person. He was brought up with teachings of prejudice. He may have always tried to bully Harry and Ron, but he also had a humane vulnerable side. Hermione on the other hand had the ability to see the best in others and that is exactly what Draco needed. Henceforth Dramione.

Drinny: Draco and Ginny. Not much is there to support this ship as there was hardly any interaction between Draco and Ginny in the series. Nevertheless the fandom thrives. Ginny was a cheerful girl who had an optimistic approach towards life. It could have happened.

Snamione: Severus Snape and Hermione Granger (Snanger Danger). Okay. WHO MADE THIS SHIP!? I just don’t get it. Severus loved Lily and Hermione would have ended up with anybody other than Snape. Besides the age difference or wait, Let me rephrase, the Generation gap!

Wotcher Wolvie: Remus and Tonks. Not much to argue here. They were meant to be together. They greeted death together.

Nuna: Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood. I really like this ship. Luna was unique and Neville was always the odd one out. They’re like two pieces of a jigsaw that fit in together perfectly. Too bad it didn’t happen. 

Puppyshippers: Remus and Sirius. Siriusly you guys?

Drarry: Alright this ship is a rage among fans. The ones who completely despise it and the ones who live by it. If I may interject my personal opinion, Harry was sort of obsessed with Draco in the majority of the sixth book. I know you will retort by saying that it was because of his doubts about Draco being a death eater. Still, I ship it.

 Deamus: There are some within the fandom who argue over the relationship between Dean and his best friend Seamus being more than just friends. Umm.. Well to each their own.

Snilly: Severus Snape and Lily Evans. Unrequited Love. The character whom you reprimanded for the first six books became a hero overnight. That is the brilliance of Severus Snape and not to mention Alan Rickman. This is the ship that will melt your heart.

 Jilly: James Potter and Lily Evans. You ship Snilly but you can’t ignore the fact that James died protecting Lily. The Question that you should now ask yourselves is, Had James been in Severus’ place, would he have protected Harry? 

Dransy: Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson. Honestly, I just don’t see it happening. Draco may have been a “bad” guy for the majority part of the series, but as a human, he had a certain depth in his character. A depth, that Pansy clearly lacked. No wonder J.K. didn’t let him end up with her.

Scorose/ Rorpius: Scorpius Malfoy and Rose Weasley. If I’m right Dramione shippers constitute a large proportion of this fandom. To take the Dramione ship ahead. And also to show that Draco’s son wasn’t brought up with the prejudices that Draco was brought up with. And to show that Harry, Ron and Hermione had eventually forgiven him. 

Some other ships include Bellamort – Bellatrix and Voldemort (P-u-h-leez, Spare me the horror.), Luna and Seamus (Apparently there is such a ship), Ravender – Ron and Lavender (Don’t let Hermione catch you shipping it.) and why not admit it, as a kid I used to see Dumbledore and McGonagall coming together (Silly me). Also I found the Viktor Krum/Hermione Granger ship fascinating because Viktor was the only to see her for what she was and not as a know-it-all.

All these crazy maniacal ships just add to the fun and make the franchise even more enjoyable and intricate. There is nothing wrong in shipping something that wasn’t a part of the book. Let your imagination run wild.

Harry proposed to Ginny at King’s Cross Station in front of platform 9 3/4, where he had first seen Ginny. He made a Card for her which sang,

She has brown eyes and flaming red hair,

Beauty like hers is really very rare

I wish she were mine, she’s truly divine,

Her personality is one that will always shine

Ginny beamed at Harry and accepted his proposal, blushing, as he put a ring on her finger.
